Information: Lou Banfield introduced Pilates to Devon 20 years ago and was the founder of the Pure Pilates Studio in Barnstaple. She has seen the method increase in popularity and develop many branches over the years, from therapeutic Pilates using specific Pilates equipment, to the more Fitness based sessions commonly seen in big gyms.
Lou is a specialist in the method and focuses on correcting postural imbalances, by assessing biomechanics and improving movement through corrective Pilates exercises.
Through building a solid foundation of good movement, you can learn to manage your own body to keep you moving freely.

Lou has now set up her new Pilates studio ‘LB MOVEMENT’ within Function Fitness and is offering Private one to ones, for injury or rehab and Group Classes for general well being.
